Social Networking + Books

The Huffington Post last week posted this article, asking "Social Networking for Book Lovers: Will online communities work?"

I have set out to answer their question and just joined Shelfari.com. My username is whitbull if you'd like to be friends. I'm hoping this will help me keep track of the books I've read and authors I've enjoyed, as well as get new book suggestions. Maybe we'll even find new book club members!

Are any of you members of a literary social networking site? Likes/dislikes?

*UPDATE: I have also joined GoodReads.com which I am liking more than Shelfari. And they also have an iPhone app, which is nice for when you need to remember what's on your list or someone gives you a recommendation on the go. I recommend.

November Book

November's book is Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen.

Since our normal meeting day is Thanksgiving, we will be rescheduling. I'm thinking the next Tuesday or Wednesday. TBD.
